Why Gamification?

Games have been with the humanity since the darkest of its darkest ages. But what makes games so enticing, so engaging so powerful a stimulus for people, that very few can resist them altogether and furthermore some people devote their whole lives either to participation or observation of them. Why is it so? A hard question indeed. Probably it has something to do with us being human, and in that, games are a part of us.

One just can’t overstate the importance of games for our life. And by all means, such a powerful driver should be avoided when making decisions in such areas as motivating personnel, ensuring customer loyalty and retention, marketing. By Gamification I mean applying gaming methods and tools to non-game contexts. Gamification is the art of making real life challenges gamelike and this driving business results.

In this Blog we will look into some business cases where Gamification may have been a way to solve an existing problem. We will also look into the best practices of applied Gamification up to date.
I hope that you enjoy!
